Academic Candidates must be willing to...

	Teach multiple courses with differing preparations.
	Act as teachers/advisors, working to develop academic, career and personal/social skills of students in an advisory period.
	Have experience with or be willing to learn mastery learning and standards-based grading practices, the core of the school's instructional practice.
	Have a growth mindset and institute that as part of the instructional practice.
	Possesses strong classroom management based on restorative justice practices.
	Work in collaborative grade level and departmental teams as well as with support staff.
	Be willing to lead clubs, activities and/or coach sports.
	Eager to be a part of a collaborative team providing innovative approaches to single gender education.
	Eager to be a part of a community working with parents as partners and participate in frequent communication with families.
	Participate in professional development on select Saturdays or on vacation.
	Collaborate with teachers to develop a Science Technology Engineering Arts Mathematics (STEAM) - focused integrated curriculum school-wide.
	Teach within a 6-12 SPAN setting.  The 2021-22 school year is hiring for grades 6-10.
	Applicants must hold a valid California teaching credential in the subject area they wish to teach.
	Masters degree or higher preferred.
